Farenheit 451
2016, St Petersburg

Farenheit 451 was a project involving a group of young performers from St Petersburg. The group consisted of 17 people and included actors, dancers, filmmakers, puppeteers, singers and clowns between 16 and 28 years old. Through a 3 weeks long workshop we led a performative exploration based on the novel Farenheit 451 by Red Bradbury. Alongside the working process discussions regarding censorship and freedom of speech were held. The work was concluded through a site-specific presentation at The Brittish Book Centre in St Petersburg.

The project was coproduced by Livsmedlet and TOK- the creative association of curators in St Petersburg and commisioned for their international urban art event Critical Mass.

The project was supported by the European Cultural Foundation and the Nordic Culture Point.
